Destination wedding in Florence | Olivine Studios

Nothing as beautiful as a traditional wedding in a serene and romantic environment. This was the case for the wedding of Bhav and Prav which was your typical destination wedding held in the beautiful city of Florence, Italy. The team spent three days in the absolutely stunning city The couple flew the team out to capture the solemn joining of both families in their Hindu wedding celebration. The wedding was a very intimate affair with only about 80 guests in total. The ceremony was held at the Villa Castelletti, surrounded by its magnificent park, which is one of the most striking Historical Villas in the Florentine countryside. As a Hindu wedding photographer, I couldn’t stop clicking away with my camera at the beautiful scenery that surrounded me.

Day one started with the pre-wedding shoot of Bhav and Prav within the Florence town. The breath-taking views were simply amazing and we had lovely photos including views of the Cathedral of Santa Maria Del Fiore as a backdrop. The couple made the shoot fun despite the raging heat of the city.

The second day was the Hindu wedding ceremony. It was conducted by the Hindu priest Ram Pandey. The wedding ceremony took place in the park with the lake behind the couple giving the guests a stunning view to behold as the ceremony went on.

The outfits of the couple were beautiful with gold and red embroidery, with accessories to match. Their procession to the park was a simple but colourful affair that marked the beginning of the Hindu wedding ceremony. Each step in the process was done with so much joy from both Bhav and Prav. Their smiles were infectious as both families and friends smiled along with them.

As the bride was being led to the mandap, the view of the groom was obscured and one could tell he couldn’t wait to see his lovely bride. The rest of the ceremony was handled by the Hindu priest including the ritual binding of the couple together and walking around the fire pit. Prayers were said for the couple by their parents and then it was time to go. Heartfelt hugs were traded between the couple and their parents.

The wedding reception was a classic affair. It comprised of lots of food, drinks, laughter, and dancing. Toasts were made and I captured a few tears among the guests. A truly memorable occasion. The couple had their first dance together after which they were joined by their friends and family with the DJ keeping everyone on their feet till late.

One could tell that the groom sure knows how to keep a party alive! The wedding reception was a blast from start to finish.

Asian wedding photography is not just a name but a way of life. Being able to capture lights, colours, and emotions is an art I do not take for granted. I am truly grateful that Bhav and Prav trusted me with this great task. It was a dream come true.I am so pleased and happy you trusted us to be your Destination wedding photographers.
