Beyond Magical | Kirsty and Sam | Ashridge House wedding

When Kirsty and Sam reach out to me about being their wedding photographer, I was thrilled about the opportunity. And, when they told me about the venue being Ashridge house, I couldn’t be more excited. Ashridge house is undoubtedly one of the most magical venues to host weddings, it is nothing short of a fairytale. Whether it was the Gothic architecture or the beautiful private gardens, everything about this venue was mesmerizing. Being the perfect backdrop for Kirsty and Sam’s wedding, this royal residence was more than just magnificent.

Everything lies in the finer details

The floral arrangements were created by Rebecca Marsala’s wedding flowers. Creating a vibe of sprung perfectly from nature, the arrangements were incredible and had lavish details. As a wedding photographer, this was an exciting project for me. I made sure to capture the finest of details, candid moments, the wedding entourage and the grand venue. The wedding set itself apart with dripping chic touches and elegance.

Kirsty looked stunning in her Pronovias wedding dress, accompanied by her adorable bridesmaids. And not forgetting the groom, Sam who arrived in style with his dashing grooms’ men. Following the beautiful tradition, Kirsty walked down the aisle with her arm wrapped around her father. While everyone had their eyes set on the bride, I managed to capture an impeccable moment. Sam’s candid reaction where his eyes filled with tears of joy as he saw his beautiful wife be for the first time in her wedding dress was just perfect.

Ashridge House is a venue well chosen with a lot of character and beauty. Every wedding portrait of the couple looked beyond magical. From palatial Italianate style to impressive art decors, every nook and corner of this stunning venue was perfect for their wedding pictures.

Following the wedding and portraits, breakfast was served with seasonal locally sourced produce. An impressive display of delicacies, emotional wedding speeches from their loved ones, and a whole lot of fun. As a wedding photographer in London, it is not very often that I get to be a part of the celebration. With Kirsty and Sam’s wedding, it was all different.

Kirsty’s vision of making her dream wedding come true was fulfilled at the Ashridge house. Post-wedding, the reception was a celebration of the union. With their friends and families gathered to be a part of their happiness, every moment seemed perfect. Music, fun and dance, followed by one of the most spectacular displays of fireworks, made it a day to remember.

Although I thought I had captured every finest detail, as I was packing my bags feeling accomplished, Ashridge house had their Christmas tree filled with lights and decorations turned on. The evening would not have been complete without photographing a couple portrait with the tree lit up in the background. And so, I did just that.

Wrapping up my day filled with happy moments captured in my camera roll, I was elated to be a part of their journey together. If I had to summarize the wedding in just three words, I’d say it was warm, inviting, and everything stunning.

Wishing Kirsty and Sam a very happy married life, a lifetime of love and happiness.

If you are planning a wedding at Ashridge house or any where in the world we would love to hear from you.
