Roshni weds Roshan | A celebration of Togetherness
A ceremony that celebrated yesterday’s memories, today’s love and tomorrow’s dreams
As an experienced team of Indian wedding photographers, we have been very fortunate in being a part of the Hindu wedding ceremonies which are an incredible celebration that represents the beautiful union of two souls. It’s amazing how their loved ones come together to celebrate the new beginning of an everlasting bond.
Every ritual in Hindu weddings has a meaning to it and symbolizes something unique. While the rituals might be elaborate, they are nothing less than an extravagant festival.
At Roshni and Roshan’s wedding, I had the opportunity to capture some incredible candid photographs. Although we specialize in photographing Indian weddings based out of London, this presented us with a unique opportunity to travel to Cardiff. With looming COVID-19 restrictions, like most weddings, Roshni and Roshan had to postpone their wedding plans quite a few times. The wedding was held at one of the most magical venues in South Wales, Bryn meadows .
This exceptionally well-organized wedding was an emotional roller coaster. Being a part of their celebrations, we had the privilege of documenting some of the intricate moments and expressions. Like many of our wedding photography projects, we felt a sense of accomplishment after the event was done.
The Wedding Ceremony | Indian wedding photographers in Cardiff
Roshni and Rohan’s wedding was filled to the brim with vibrant and traditional rituals. We loved how they had a very well-organized wedding ceremony timeline, this helped us prepare for the shots. Before the wedding ceremony itself, we managed to snag a few portraits of both the Bride and Groom.
Ravi Shashtri, the Hindu wedding priest ensured that the attendees were fully attuned with the ceremony. With just over 100 near and dear ones, this intimate wedding ceremony celebrated the happiness of the union, the togetherness and the newly created family bond.
The bride was wearing a beautiful designer red bridal lehenga, adorned by the intricate detailing on her mehndi and the groom in saffron shade sherwani, another designer piece with incredible detailing. Every single family member, including uncles, cousins, and extended family came together to make their wedding a special one.
As the bride was escorted by her family to the mandap, we could see how emotional Roshan was, leading to a pure moment of happiness and joy. From Antarpat to playing Khoda khodi, everything was executed so beautifully. In the end, it was the time for vidaai, that bid farewell to the bride from her home to mark a new chapter of her life.
As Destination wedding photographers, we were absolutely elated to be a part of such an impeccable celebration that was full of love, laughter, joy and all possible kinds of emotions.
Despite being a hectic day, we captured several moments that included both smiles and tears. We are sure that these pictures will remind them of the moments that started their lifetime of togetherness. Team Olivine Studios wishes Roshni and Roshan all the best as they embark on a beautiful journey together.
